Chelsea want Dusan Vlahovic this summer with a new bid imminent

Manchester United

Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are reportedly determined to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus. This is in the summer transfer window. According to Corriere della Sera, Chelsea have made a bid for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Chelsea have offered Juventus €60 million for the striker. The Serie A club have turned it down, according to the report.

Dusan Vlahovic to Chelsea makes sense

There is already speculation that the striker’s agent has held talks with Chelsea and Arsenal. And that the former Fiorentina star himself is keen on leaving.

Clearly, the Serbian is open to a new adventure.

We believe that if Chelsea made a better offer, then they could be able to sign Vlahovic. He is described as “a complete centre-forward” who “has physique, a sense for goal, good technique, progression and aerial skills”. This is by Lecce director Pantaleo Corvino in La Gazzetta dello Sport, as transcribed by Football Italia.

Juventus are having financial problems. And they are also now going to face competition from the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli for the Serie A title in the coming years.

The Bianconeri are unlikely to be able to compete with Real Madrid, Manchester City or Bayern Munich for the UEFA Champions League anytime soon.

In our opinion, Chelsea could be able to sign Paulo Dybala. This is from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

Corriere dello Sport have reported that Dybala has a release clause of €12 million (£10.26 million). This is in his contract for foreign clubs.

Chelsea could easily pay that sum, especially if Pochettino wants him at the Bridge.

And the chance to move to the Premier League and play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. This would be hugely appealing for the 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina.

Tottenham have signed just England international playmaker James Maddison. While attack-minded Mason Mount has moved to Manchester United from Chelsea.
