Arsenal now have become the 2nd to have squad worth over €1 billion

Arsenal

Arsenal have become only the second club in world football to have a squad value worth over €1 billion (£852.8m). This is according to the latest information.

The Gunners are climbing up the rankings everywhere you look. This is following an impressive 2022/23 campaign which saw Mikel Arteta’s side finish second in the Premier League.

And on their return to the Champions League, Arsenal have entered an elite group of teams to have a value worth over €1b. That is €1.09bn to be precise, according to Transfermarkt.

Arsenal squad worth depends on the signings to get over the line

That figure is likely to increase, following the club’s summer spending spree. The north London side have already signed Havertz from Chelsea for £62 million.

West Ham skipper Declan Rice is tipped to follow suit after Arsenal agreed a £105m fee to sign the England international. This is with an announcement expected to be made in the coming days.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein also revealed that the Gunners had reached full agreement with Ajax to sign Jurrien Timber. This is in a deal worth €40m, including €5m in bonuses.

Fresh off winning the treble, Manchester City are the only team to be worth more in the world. They are boasting a total value of €1.19bn.

Real Madrid round out the top three with a value of €975.50m. Then with Chelsea taking up the fourth spot after spending over £600 million since the arrival of Todd Boehly.

Here is the top 10 in full:
