Arsenal pair stunned by Gabriel Martinelli versus Crystal Palace

Arsenal

Martin Odegaard and William Saliba, two Arsenal players, praised Gabriel Martinelli on Instagram for his performance against Leicester City.

Martinelli’s work in the second half helped the Arsenal earn another critical three points in the title fight yesterday.

The 1-0 victory for Mikel Arteta’s team did not, however, accurately reflect their level of control throughout the contest.

In general, Leicester’s attempts to irritate Arsenal were successful, but a standout performance from Martinelli and Leandro Trossard separated the teams.

After partnering up with Trossard down the left side, Martinelli completed the game superbly to defeat Danny Ward. The 21-year-old has scored in both of his most recent outings and appears to be at his best.

And after scoring the game-winning goal at the King Power Stadium, it appears like he has won over his Arsenal teammates.

Furthermore, after the game, Martinelli posted on Instagram to share his joy at helping Arteta’s team earn a crucial three points.

Martinelli’s teammates praise the Arsenal star for his performance

Under the post, his teammates gathered, and Odegaard responded with an emoji heart and round of applause.

Saliba added “Irmao,” which means “brother,” in his response.

Martinelli has had trouble lately. Benched against Villa.

But, the winger who earns £180,000 per week has recovered remarkably, turning up two strong performances in the past week.

Torssard selected by Arteta as the team’s striker yesterday. Martinelli lining up off the left side as usual.

The two frequently rotated and gave Leicester issues as the Gunners appeared to be moving forward with ease.

But, it must be acknowledged that Arsenal did not generate as many clear-cut opportunities with Eddie Nketiah out of the lineup, so it will be fascinating to see if Arteta starts the same lineup this week against Everton.
