Tottenham will play without Bale this season

About Football Express UK

Tottenham Hotspur would be playing without one of their key players – Gareth Bale next season. The 31-year-old midfielder would be returning back to Real Madrid after his loan stint at the Premier League.

Although Bale returned to his former club, he couldn’t inspire the team much as the Lilywhites finished at 7th place last season. However, his future at Santiago Bernabeu is uncertain and it all depends on the new head coach, Carlo Ancelotti.

The Welshman would most probably stay for another year in the La Liga as the club cannot sell him now.

Tottenham return not considered by Bale as of now

Gareth Bale joined the North London side on loan from Los Blancos in the last season. Although his injuries were once again dominated by injuries, he made 34 appearances scoring 16 goals.

He is one of the highest earners in the club and was mostly a benchwarmer in the 2019-20 season with Real Madrid. Bale along with Eden Hazard earn around 13% of the total wages by the club. However, his free-kick ability and acrobatic goals have always been crucial for the Galacticos.

He is currently under new coach Ancelotti’s plans for the current season. Additionally, Tottenham new head coach Nuno Espirito Santos has also left Bale put of his plans for the new season.

Nuno said, “He will not be part of our squad.” The Wales skipper is now expected to fly towards Spain for their pre-season. Whereas Tottenham plays Leyton Orient in an international friendly today. They are also trying to get some new signings and one of the biggest tasks – to keep Harry Kane at the club.

The 2020-21 EFL Cup runners up face the EFL and Premier League champions Manchester City in the first match of their 2021-22 campaign.
