Sergio Ramos prefers Manchester United over City

About Football Express UK

Sergio Ramos would be looking for a move to Manchester United. The 35-year-old centre-back is currently a free agent as his 16-year long career at Real Madrid comes to an end.

The veteran Spaniard defender is attracted towards the “history and greatness” of the club located at Old Trafford. Thus, he would most likely prefer a move to the Red Devils rather than their rivals, Manchester City.

Raphael Varane would also accompany him to the Premier League. However, he had attracted various other big names too.

Sergio Ramos could fill the void which is left at the Manchester United’s defense

Sergio Ramos joined Los Blancos from La Liga rivals Sevilla in 2005. Since then, he had made 671 appearances scoring 101 goals.

There had never been a legendary player like him in Madrid. Even though as a defender, he used to score goals when they needed the most. However, his frequent injury issues had been a major concern for the Madrid side and they are also looking for a younger alternative.

According to AS, Manchester United could be the next destination for him. Clubs like Manchester City and especially, Paris Saint Germain however, would also be looking for this brilliant opportunity.

However, the Premier League giants are now focusing on a Jadon Sancho transfer as of now. And thus, they haven’t prioritized a deal for a defender. Despite most of the players were struggling, the Europa League runner-ups are looking forward in building a stronger squad for next season.

Currently, Le Parisiens are the frontrunners to sign him due to the star value of the Ligue 1 club. Jose Mourinho is also looking to bring him to Roma and thus, there are lots of options for the veteran to chose from.
