Patson Daka expresses his desire to play for Leicester City

The Red Bull Salzburg attacker confirms his move to Leicester City this summer, despite being linked with 3 of the big 6 clubs in the Premier League.

According to the Austrian outlet Krone Zeitung, Patson Daka spoke about his future and his eagerness to play for the former Premier League champions Leicester City. In an Interview the Zambia international said

“I will go to England and move to Leicester City. He further added, “I had a great time here, Salzburg has become my second home. I will always be happy to come back here, but the Premier League has always been my big dream.”

Leicester City are reportedly preparing a bid for Patson Daka ahead of the start of next season. Leicester boss Brandon Rogers is keen on making the transfer happen this summer. According to the speculations, The Foxes are willing to pay £25.7m for Daka. Which would mark a new record departure from the Austrian Bundesliga.

Having a successful 2020-21 campaign Patson Daka is now becoming the centre of attraction for many clubs across Europe. Three of the former Premier League champions were also previously being linked with the Salzburg forward. With the Austrian giants, Daka netted 27 goals in 28 league appearances to fire Salzburg to the top-flight title. In addition, he will be leaving Salzburg having scored 68 goals and 27 assists in 125 appearances since 2017. Daka will surely strengthen the Leicester City attack line.
