Mavropanos’ value got increased by 344% after Arteta’s rejection

Mikel Arteta

Konstantino Mavropanos was such a player who was pretty much underrated and unutilised whilst his tenure in Arsenal. However, once he left Arsenal, Mavropanos’ value got increased by 344% since his joining value at Arsenal. So today we’ll analyse Mavropanos’ career after Arsenal.

Mavropanos at Arsenal:

He signed from Greek side PAS Giannina for a reported £1.8m. Although this deal was viewed as one for the future, boasting little risk. However, immense returns were bestowed upon him.

The legendary boss Arsene Wenger likely viewed him as the man set to unleash his best in the years to come, or at the very least help to create a successful new era after he had left.

However, in the end, neither of these materialised. Moreover, the 25-year-old departed from London having only made eight senior appearances.

Moreover, game time was seemingly forever limited during his stay in north London, despite former Arsenal favourite Ian Wright lauding him after a stellar debut:

“I haven’t seen a performance like this, the anticipation, the pace, the awareness, from Arsenal for a long time. I don’t think we’ve got anything to lose by playing him. You could put him up against Diego Costa, he looked like he was up for the battle. He’s fearless and has the exuberance of youth. It might work.”

Mavropanos’ value got high after leaving Arsenal:

The athletic showcased it as a widely recognised bargain deal, they said:

While that final fee of £4.5m is below Mavropanos’ true market value, Arsenal will expectedly receive full payment up front, meaning they will get a small cash boost ahead of the summer transfer window.”

Mavropanos at West Ham :

West Ham United were the beneficiaries of this deal. They got a ready and well trained monster at just £20m ready to tackle English football once again. Hopefully with greater success and faith this time than the earlier ones.

Therefore, to emphasise that dramatic shift in value, Mavropanos actually witnessed a 344% increase since his departure from the Emirates.
