About Football Express UK

Vitor Roque, the 17-year-old Brazilian sensation who has caught the eyes of several top clubs. Currently, he plays for the Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense. Club President has said top clubs are keenly interested in him and it will be very difficult for them to hold on to their young star. Roque has already registered 14 goals for his team already. Top teams including Manchester United can only sign him in the summer once he turns 18.

The Road ahead for Roque

Paranaense president Mario Celso Petraglia confirmed that been offers from big clubs. He stated that:

“There’s a big fight for him, we’ve received offers and calls but no one reaches the figures we’re asking. However we can’t keep him, because we can’t pay what European clubs pay.”

According to Gazzetta, Paranaense have demanded the release clause of 60 million euros as mentioned in his contract and they aren’t willing to negotiate. They know he’ll eventually move to Europe. So the club wants to cash in from this deal as much as possible. The competition is said to be intense for him; Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, and even Arsenal are keeping a close watch on him.

Vitor Roque recently played the U-20 South American Championships and lead Brazil to victory, grabbing eyeballs for his stellar performance. He now has 6 goals from 9 games in all at this level.

Manchester United were the first to show interest in this teenage sensation. The price Paranaense are asking for him may be too much for United at the time being. The Old Trafford management wouldn’t be much obliged to spend such a whopping amount on a youngster. Real Madrid spends a similar figure for Endrick, the Brazilian club will be hoping that Vitor Roque might as well fetch a big amount for them.
