Former Juventus manager blames Manchester United for Pogba’s signing

About Football Express UK

Since joining Juventus from Manchester United, Paul Pogba is yet to play a match for the old lady.

Manchester United had a horrific season last year. They failed to qualify for the champions league.

Eric Ten Hag became the manager of Manchester United and things were surely chaotic for him. The team lacked quality in every department and many stars like Pogba, Matic, and Mata were leaving the team.

The defence was also leaking way too many goals. However, ETH overcame this problem with the signing of Lisandro Martinez and Malacia. Martinez is proving to be the signing of the season.

There were doubts regarding the replacement of Pogba but with the signing of Eriksen and Casemiro ETH has buried all those doubts.

However, it’s not been a good journey for Pogba since leaving United. He suffered an injury in the pre-season tour and is still yet to make a debut for Juventus.

Player’s agent Rafela Pimenta has revealed that Pogba will be missing the Qatar World cup.

He released a statement in which he said,

Following yesterday’s and today’s medical review in Torino and Pittsburgh, it is extremely painful to inform Pogba will still need recovery time from his surgery.

For this reason, Paul will not be able to join Juventus’ squad before the World Cup break nor the French national team in Qatar.”

This injury update is not going well with Luigi Mafridi (former Juventus boss) as he blames Manchester United for this.

Luigi on Juventus signing and Pogba’s injury

Luigi blames Juventus’s transfer campaign this season for such a horrible performance.

“Let’s say that Juve were not lucky in their signings because Pogba has not yet been part of the team and Di Maria has had an occasional trend.

Behind the failure of the Juventus team there is also the poor performance of the transfer campaign. Then let’s face it, if Manchester gives away Pogba so easily, they must have had something.

He was caught and he was a nearly injured player and these are the consequences for Juventus,”

Paul Pogba only played 16 out of 38 premier league games for Manchester United last season. It may not seem the best idea financially but letting go of Pogba was a very good decision from United.
