Harry Maguire was the man of the match for England facing Germany, as he led the defensive department brilliantly. He was well-focused alongside John Stones and Jordan Pickford.
Similarly, another veteran player, Jordan Henderson was also proud as a peacock after the much-needed win over their rivals. His tweet was as follows :
Head coach Southgate also praised his players and was happy about the “immense” performance they put up. He also credited the fans for their wonderful support. He said,
“I’ve been in here with a full house and not heard it near the levels heard today, but the energy was incredible in the stadium. To be able to send them home feeling as they do tonight… and you can’t beat a bit of ‘Sweet Caroline’, that’s a belter really!”
However, the former England international believes that they have not achieved everything yet. WIll the Euros 2020 be coming home or will Ukraine pull off an upset against a Modern English side who are yet to concede a goal in the competition?
