Chelsea making inquiries on Newcastle forward

About Football Express UK

Chelsea have made inquiries on Newcastle United forward Allan Saint Maxim. Thomas Tuchel wants more additions to the team before the season inevitably begins next month. Chelsea have already got the services of Kalidou Koulibaly, and Raheem Sterling and are looking to add couple more players soon. Chelsea have signed the least amount of players in the transfer window so far, Even though the Blues had shown interest in several players throughout the last couple of months.

Several players have left Chelsea in the Summer including the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andres Christensen, and Romelu Lukaku. Moreover, players like Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner are tipped for a move away from Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are hoping to bring in more attackers into the squad so as to integrate them as quickly as possible.

Although Chelsea have signed Raheem Sterling, Chelsea still lacks in the attack. They don’t have enough experienced players to cover their attack and hence the interest in Saint Maxim.

Saint Maxim has been at Newcastle for the last three years and has been arguably their best player. He has scored 11 goals and made 14 assists across all competitions for the Magpies. Although he has been a vital player for Newcastle, They want a better forward who could give them more output as they are trying to qualify for Europe from the new season onwards. This means Newcastle could give Saint Maxim the ax in the coming days.

Chelsea on the other hand could gain a decent squad player in Allan Saint Maxim. The Frenchman is forward is a physical threat in the box and is very fast on and off the ball. Moreover, he is very skillful with the ball as well and has lighted up St James Park in recent years.
