Chelsea signed Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund in January 2019. His career with the Blues has been an inconsistent ride. Pulisic has faced many injuries in his career.
The Blues are a great team with talented youngsters. The Cobham academy has done incredibly well and the board has also signed great young talents. Though this is great for Chelsea, it is not for Pulisic who goes way down the list.
Hudson Odoi was also rumoured to leave after lack of game time but he is in great form as of now. The youngster scored in the Champions League match against Juventus. Tuchel has also been Ruben Loftus Cheek more often and he has been incredible. The youngster is extremely calm on the ball and possesses great technique. He created the goal which Hudson Odoi scored.
According to El Nacional, Thomas Tuchel is willing to sell Pulisic in the transfer window. This is understandable because Chelsea already have great players and it will be next to impossible for Pulisic to get playing time.
Is Christian Pulisic on a similar path like Dembele and Hazard?
Don’t get the statement wrong, Eden Hazard is the better player when compared to Dembele and Pulisic. But Hazard, Dembele and Pulisic moved to clubs where they were expected to do a lot. Ultimately all of them failed because of injuries.
Christian Pulisic and Dembele shone with Aubameyang when they were at BVB. It was in 2017 that Barcelona signed Dembele. Ever since then his career with Barcelona was disappointing solely because of injuries. Dembele has played well at times but never consistently.
Eden Hazard, the Chelsea legend, left for Real Madrid in 2018. At that time Cristiano Ronaldo had surprisingly left Madrid for a new challenge. The Los Blancos were looking to find the perfect replacement and spent £120 million on Hazard. He was even given Cristiano’s legendary number 7. Unfortunately, Hazard has done nothing for the club for 3 years. Eden has faced many injuries and when he wasn’t injured he was not matched fit. Many blame the club for not taking care of Hazard, many even blame Hazard for his mistake.
The common thing between them is that Pulisic should not be inconsistent like Dembele and careless like Hazard.
It can be said that he is already on a similar path but a transfer away from Chelsea would help him.
