Chelsea to decide and take a call on Antonio Rudriger future

About Football Express UK

Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea has reportedly turned down a new contract at Stamford Bridge, as he is moving towards the end of his deal with the Blues.

The contract is about to finish for the German international this summer. He has been discussing pre-contract agreements with other clubs since the beginning of January.

After winning the Champions League with Thomas Tuchel last season, the 28-year-old is said to be keen to end his contract with Chelsea. He is preferring to go back to mainland Europe.
According to Marca, Rudiger’s representatives are in discussions with European giants, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Both clubs are preparing wage packets to offer the German in January.

Will Antonio Rudriger land up in Real Madrid or Bayern Munich?

Rudiger has appeared in every minute of competitive action for the Blues so far this season. He has come back into favour following the appointment of Tuchel last season. He has been playing in every knockout game of the Champions League campaign.

Chelsea is offering 6.5 million euros a year for him to renew. He is demanding 10 million euros, leaving a resolution still far away.

Presently, Rudiger’s agent is working to find a solution elsewhere. Antonio has been in Chelsea since 2018. When he was signing off from Roma, the German has made huge strides forward in recent seasons and particularly since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival.

Real Madrid is looking for a centre-back for 2022/23. Although their focus remains on younger players. They are preparing themselves for the market opportunities in the form of players becoming free agents, as was seen with their signing of Alaba this past summer.

Los Blancos will have to weigh things up with accountability. They will start sounding Rudiger out to join Alaba, Nacho Fernandez and Eder Militao at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu next summer.
