MANCHESTER UNITED AND MARC CUCURELLA TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Marc Cucurella both rejected a move to Manchester United. The Red Devils were in advanced negotiations to sign him on a season-long loan. This approaches also came after the injuries to Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw. However, Manchester United wanted a January break clause because Luke Shaw will recover fully in January from his injury.

However, both Chelsea and Marc Cucurella rejected the idea. Hence, a loan move for Marc Cucurella did not happen. Manchester United also did not like that the Blues started him in the Carabao Cup game. Therefore, the Red Devils signed Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham. The deal also has a January break clause.

CHELSEA REJECTED OFFER FROM MANCHESTER CITY IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

According to reports, Manchester City made a loan to buy bid for Marc Cucurella in the January transfer window. However, the Blues immediately rejected the bid. This is also because Manchester City wanted to sign him before Chelsea signed him. However, they could not reach agreement with Brighton. The report also claims that Marc Cucurella has rejected loan move to multiple European clubs.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed Chelsea were ready to loan him on the deadline day. However, Marc Cucurella rejected a move to clubs like Atheltico Madrid, RB Leipzig, Sevilla and Real Sociedad. Although, a January exit remains possible. This is also because the Blues already have Ben Chilwell and Ian Maatsen in the left-back position. However, the future of Maatsen is also in the air.

Therefore, Chelsea will definitely explore the left-back situation in the January transfer window. However, the Blues will offer Ian Maatsen a new contract extension. Although, if the player rejects it, the Blues will sell him in January or next summer transfer window for the right price.
