Is Steven Gerrard ready for the Aston Villa job?
Steven Gerrard won one trophy with Villa but he took them on another level. Celtic gave tough competition to the Rangers in Gerrard’s first season. They won their tenth consecutive title but in the next season, Gerrard and Rangers did the unthinkable.
They scored 92 goals, conceded 13 goals and won 32 out of 38 games. The rangers were also unbeaten and Gerrard also left the club in a good condition. Rangers are also at the top of their group in the Europa League.
In Europe, the biggest disappointment for Gerrard was their loss in the Champions League. Rangers FC lost to Malmo in the qualifying round itself.
Whereas in the Europa League, they have made significant progress. Even Villarreal or Benfica could not get the better of them.
The financial barrier proved to be a hindrance of Gerrard at Rangers. At Villa, he will definitely have better financial aid and can make better signings.
