Arsenal to release Alexandre Lacazette for £15m

Arsenal are planning to release Alexandre Lacazette. The price for the striker is £15 million this summer.

Arsenal has found Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham as their main player to sign in this summer transfer window. Although his price is £40 million, the Gunners are trying their best to negotiate with the North London club in order to sign a deal with him.

Arsenal are planning to raise the fee of the player. According to The Mirror, Lacazette is one of the players Arteta is looking to increase the price on.

For now, Chelsea have accepted the offer for £15 million for the French forward. But four years later, making him their record signing in a £52.6 million deal.

Lacazette has 43 appearances for the club and has scored 17 goals. Out of 17 goals 13 goals have come in the Premier League.

Overall, till now, the 30-year-old has found the net 65 times in 170 appearances for the Gunners.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are ready to sell Lacazette in the upcoming summer transfer window. He will be signing a pre-contract agreement with other clubs in January.

Lacazette has himself been quiet about his future with the club. But, he has updated the Gunners that he wants to go back in April.

“My plan is to win a trophy with the club this season and it would be easy for me to pretend to have a contract extension,” said Lacazette.

Earlier, Lacazette used to play as a winger for Lyon, before becoming a striker. He has good goal scoring and finishing ability. Characteristics of his game are pace, strength, balance, technique, dribbling, link-up and ability to score from either foot. The French centre forward is a hard-working player, who presses the opposition and wins the ball back using his defensive skills and tackling ability.
