In the Champions League, Ajax prevailed against Borussia Dortmund. Marco Reus opened the scoreline after scoring their own goal. Daley Blind scored the second goal which was struck beautifully. In the second half, Antony scored one goal while Haller scored the second one.

The victory is the reflection of an excellent performance by Ajax rather than a bad one by Dortmund. Despite a bad performance by Dortmund, Erling Haaland tried his best. He garnered three shots on target and a total xG of 1.56.

If it weren’t for Remko Pasveer, Ajax would have conceded that night. The stand-in goalkeeper made terrific saves.

Gravenberch first played for the senior team in 2018. After lots of patience and showing his worth in training sessions. A year later he started playing regularly and is now being monitored by top European clubs.

He is a central midfielder who is calm with the ball and is a player who controls the tempo of the game.
