Manchester City vs Chelsea

Manchester City is set to face Chelsea on Friday and again on Sunday in the FA CUP 3rd round of fixtures. This can be a crucial week for team Pep as they have to play thrice in a gap in 1 week. They will have to rest players and bring some fresh legs. This will give some time to pool Phil Foden who has been sidelined for a while.

Pep also faced criticism for not starting Phil Foden during the Everton game where they dropped 2 crucial points. The gunners now have a 7-point lead going into match day 19. The city’s stalemate with the Toffees, who got their point thanks to a fantastic Demarai Gray goal. Arsenal has only failed to win two of their 17 games this term and the Catalan knows his side can ill-afford to let points slip. Pep said

“Of course, the result was not expected but that is football, it is not the first time it happened,”

he claimed.

“We did everything to win. They played well. Afterward they broke a bit the rhythm because the referees were not ready but, in general, we did everything and unfortunately could not win.”
