Leicester City joins the race to sign Patson Daka alongside Liverpool and Chelsea

Leicester City will be giving a tough competition to Liverpool and Chelsea to get the signatures of the Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka during this summer’s transfer window.

According to the reports British citation The Mirror, Leicester are showing keen interest in signing Patson Daka. Moreover, Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked with the Zambia international. In addition to that, The Blues and Reds are looking forward increase the depth of their respective squads before the start of next season.

The 22-year-old currently plays for the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. Daka has found the net 68 times and also created 27 assists in his 125 appearances for the club. Moreover, since his arrival at the club, the forward has netted 54 times in 82 league appearances. In addition, Daka’s current form is what makes him a hot property in Europe. The Salzburg striker has registered 34 goals in 42 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign.

The 22-year-old forward still has three years left in his contract with the Austrian club. However, Leicester could offer an attractive deal and can pursue him to join them before the start of next season. The Foxes’ are leading the race to sign the youngster ahead of the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea as they would be able to provide Daka much more playing time.
