Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal will reportedly try to sell Nicolas Pepe in the next summer transfer window. However, they will recover way less than the 72 million spent on him.

Football Journalist Dean Jones has also said that the Gunners paid too much for him. Hence, they will have take a big potential loss on his sale.

ARSENAL HAVE NO INTENTION OF GIVING NICOLAS PEPE A SECOND CHANCE

According to reports, Arsenal will try to sell Nicolas Pepe permanently in the next summer transfer window. At the moment, he is on loan at Ligue 1 side OGC Nice. However, the Gunners have no intention to again loan him out or keep him at the club. They would like to sell their record signing permanently in the next summer transfer window.

Current Premier League Standings

The report also claims that Nicolas Pepe is open to staying at OGC Nice. It also claims that Arsenal are going to demand a fee 30-40 million for the winger. Hence, there are doubts over the ability of OGC Nice paying such a big fee for him. However, there are no doubts that the Gunners will try their best to sell him permanently. This is because he does not fit in the current and future plans of Mikel Arteta.

THE GUNNERS DO NOT SEE A FUTURE FOR THEIR RECORD SIGNING

According to football Journalist Dean Jones, Arsenal have no intention of keeping Nicolas Pepe at the club. This is despite his brilliant performances this season for OGC Nice. Hence, they will hope that his price starts a bidding war for the winger. Dean Jones has also said that the Gunners overpaid at that time for the former Lille winger. Hence, he says it is next to impossible for them to recover the 72 million fee.

Dean Jones further speaking on the future of Pepe at Arsenal further said, “They paid way too much for him. I haven’t heard that there’s going to be any way back for him, and the way that this team has evolved since he left suggests that there’s no point now even trying.” Hence, the comments of Dean Jones clearly suggest that both the Gunners and the player are hoping to find the best solution.

Arsenal already have Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard as their winger options in the team. They are also hoping to extend the contract of Reiss Nelson. Hence, the Gunners can afford to sell Nicolas Pepe in the next summer transfer window.
