Liverpool to face a huge blow as Verratti might move to Saudi League

Liverpool

During the current transfer window, Saudi Arabian clubs have been notably active. One significant move saw Al Ettifaq successfully attract Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, to their ranks. The departure of such an influential player will undoubtedly be a notable development for Liverpool. Since, it showcases the growing interest and financial strength of clubs in the Saudi Arabian football landscape.

If the reports in the media are accurate, it appears that Al Hilal is now preparing to secure the signing of Marco Verratti. He had been a target for Anfield. This potential move indicates Al Hilal’s ambition to strengthen their squad by pursuing high-profile players. Thus, it reflects the competitive nature of the transfer market. However, until an official announcement is made, it remains speculative.

According to a recent report from Marca, Liverpool is ready to pursue the signing of the Italian international from Paris Saint-Germain. That is with the aim of bolstering their midfield options. The potential acquisition of the player indicates Liverpool’s intention to enhance their midfield strength and competitiveness in the center of the park. However, it’s important to note that transfer news can sometimes be subject to changes until official confirmations are there.

Current Premier League Standings

The ongoing transfer saga regarding Liverpool target Marco Verrati

As of today’s version of Corriere dello Sport, reports say that Marco Verratti has reached an agreement with Al Hilal. The deal would see him earning an astonishing 150 million euros (£128.6 million) over the next three years. This proposed contract would represent a significant financial package for the player and could pave the way for his move to the Saudi Arabian club, assuming the transfer is official.

It seems PSG is demanding a fee of over 30 million euros for Marco Verratti’s transfer. A sum that is reportedly within the means of the Middle East side, Al Hilal. If the deal goes through, Verratti will become the highest-paid Italian footballer in the history of the game. Thus, indicating the substantial financial commitment that Al Hilal is willing to make to secure his services.

Indeed, Klopp has faced the departure of four senior midfielders during this summer’s transfer window. However, he has managed to secure the signings of only two players to reinforce the midfield department. This suggests that there might still be a need for further reinforcements to ensure sufficient depth and quality in the midfield position.

With the departure of several senior midfielders and the need to bolster the midfield department, it becomes imperative for Klopp and Liverpool to bring in additional reinforcements before the transfer deadline closes in September. Strengthening the midfield further will be crucial to ensure the team’s competitiveness across various competitions.
