The agent of Dusan Vlahovic has reportedly been refusing to talk with Arsenal about a potential January transfer as per the report from Gianluca Di Marzio(Via SportsMole).
The 21-year-old burst into the spotlight last season after enjoying a stellar campaign with La Viola. After scoring 21 goals and notching up three assists in 37 league appearances. The striker has also started the new season brilliantly, scoring eight goals and assisting one time in 12 Serie A appearances(via Sofascore).
Speaking with Sky Italia Di Marzio reported that Arsenal is eyeing a move for Dusan Vlahovic in this winter transfer window. B ut a deal is highly unlikely as Vincenzo Italiano’s side are asking for a whopping £68 million for their star man.

The journalist further stated that the Gunners are trying to contact the player and his representative. To explain to them the vision of the north London club. But, the Striker’s camp is not picking up their call which has made it impossible for Mikel Arteta’s side to negotiate. Di Marzio said:
“In January it is an impossible operation, because Fiorentina are asking for €80m (£68.4m). In June, Juve are in the running as well as many teams. The team most interested in Vlahovic for January is Arsenal. The English club has established a dialogue more than positive with Fiorentina and would be willing to satisfy the requests of the Viola club to reach an agreement.
“The problem is that Arsenal are unable to speak to the player’s agents, they do not answer the phone. The Gunners want to talk to the boy to explain their project to him, but these lack of answers make it impossible to enter into a negotiation.”
Will Arsenal be able to sign Vlahovic in January?
Signing Vlahovic would have been a great acquisition for Arsenal. With Alexandre Lacazette’s future still hanging in the air. Bringing in the Serbian might have been a great replacement for the Frenchman.
However, it seems the 21-year-old is not looking to join the north London club in January. The forward’s contract will expire in June 2023 and is looking to keep his options open and make a decision in the summer.
So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Vlahovic. The striker has already been monitored by Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus.
