Ajax gives green light for Manchester United

About Football Express UK

Manchester United have been on pursuit for Ajax forward Antony for a while now. Ajax have lost a couple of their first-team players in the transfer window. The Dutch giants had put a giant asking price on their players to ward off incoming clubs. United had shown interest in Antony however Ajax had put a 70M price tag on him. However, according to reports, Ajax have green lit a move for the winger.

Ajax’s technical manager Gerry Hamstra confirmed that Antony could be on his way.

“We want to keep this group together. I am assuming that nobody will leave from this core. Of course, you can never say never, I have learned that. But we also talk to the players about it and have discussions. Also with guys who might have a wish to leave. And that Ajax players are in demand, that is logical, there is capital on the pitch. They are all boys who have developed further with us.”

Current Premier League Standings

United have had a decent transfer window so far as they have brought in the likes of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, Christian Eriksen as a free agent, and Lisandro Martinez from Ajax. Although United looks to add at least a couple more signings to be competitive in the season.

United also have worrying news on their end as Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club. Erik Ten Hag had said earlier that Ronaldo is well in his plans and not for sale. Although it is unsure what the Portuguese want. A crisis talk was held earlier which included Ronaldo, His agent Jorge Mendes, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Erik Ten Hag at Carrington. Although it is unsure what the outcome of the meeting was.
