“Another interesting player that could be our solution to our midfield. And spending nothing because he is a free agent. He is a short-term solution but then we can wait for Bellingham next season – He will play if he deserves to play like everyone else. Eriksen is a top player and I believe he can compete for a starting spot in our XI. The season is very long. He is that kind of player, like Thiago, but maybe a little bit more offensive. But Thiago is our magician.”

Although they face difficult competition from Tottenham who are looking to resign their former player. Moreover, Tottenham have Conte as manager and Eriksen has a good relationship with him.

Journalist Kristof Terreur has spoken about Tottenham’s chances.

“As I was told by somebody, I can’t remember who I was told by, he wants to stay in London, so that’s a good thing for Spurs. There’s the emotional connection of course, he worked with Antonio Conte at Inter, but he struggled under Conte for the first few months. I don’t think Eriksen is the one they need right now because you have Harry Kane who drops into the space where Eriksen likes to operate, but Conte is a brilliant manager and if they sign him he will find a solution.”
