Manchester City Reach Decision To Put an Attacker On Transfer List

Manchester City Transfer

Manchester City has made the unexpected choice to list a top attacker for sale in order to pay for their acquisition of Jude Bellingham.

Jude Bellingham The Future Football Star

Bellingham has become one of Pep Guardiola’s main transfer targets in recent weeks. With outstanding performances for both Borussia Dortmund and England, the central midfielder has established himself as one of the best young players in the world.

He won’t be leaving Dortmund during the January transfer window, Dortmund has made it clear to all of his possible suitors. This is so that they can keep him in order to advance in the Champions League and finish among the top four in the Bundesliga.

By the conclusion of the season, things will have changed. Dortmund is hesitantly getting around to the idea of selling him because they realise it will be extremely difficult to keep him.

Liverpool, though Real Madrid and Chelsea could also make a move for him. However, City will present fierce competition since Guardiola wants his squad to be the one to sign the incredibly gifted 19-year-old.

Bellingham will probably cost closer to £100 million. City are aware that they must sell a valuable player first in order to sign him without violating Financial Fair Play rules.

Surprisingly, Bellingham might be replaced at the Etihad by winger Jack Grealish.

Jack Grealish Makes Place In Manchester City Transfer List

City officials have put Grealish on the trade market. In the summer, they will consider offers for him, and several teams are anticipated to contact them.

The amount City would like to get for Grealish is not specified in the report. But it makes sense that they would want to repay at least some of the £100 million they invested in him.

Once Grealish is off City’s books, Football Insider anticipates them to go all out when trying to sign Bellingham. City is probably going to let a player go so Bellingham can join. But it’s difficult to see Grealish being the man to depart.
