Arsenal are at the top of the table this season with an 8-point lead against second-placed Manchester City. Pep Guardiola very well knows the danger The Gunners possess.

Manchester City and Arsenal – Two Teams With the Same Playstyle

Arsenal leads this season’s campaign with their players playing quality football. They sit at the top of the table with an 8-point lead against Manchester City. Mikel Arteta has his team playing what many would describe as “City-like football,” and Pep Guardiola’s protege is finally seeing the fulfillment of his long-term plans at the North London club.

On the other hand, Manchester City seems inconsistent. Even though being second on the table, they don’t have that swagger. Erling Haaland, The Citizen’s best talisman have enjoyed a great season till now. But, their draw against Everton have opened Manchester City’s gap with Arsenal.

The Norwegian opened the scoring against the Toffees once more, but Frank Lampard’s team managed to snag a point thanks to a miraculous goal from Demarai Gray in the second half. Arsenal have been strong. Numerous City supporters were concerned by the outcome; in their last two home Premier League games against Brentford and Everton, they only managed to earn one point out of a potential six.

Pep Guardiola addressed the concerns,

“We have to play with 11 – we cannot play with 13 – and every time it is difficult to choose for me because always top players are not playing,”

said Guardiola after the draw amidst the title race with Arsenal.

“Mainly lately – perhaps as I am older – I look at the body language in the training sessions and everything.

“You cannot play good when the body language is not correct. Sometimes I pick them for the body language, for how happy they look and how they are there. This is one of my main decisions when I choose the line-up.

“With the skills I know how good they are, and they know what we want to do. But the body language depends on them and sometimes they are not good.”

The Gunners look unstoppable at the moment and the Citizens need to get back their form as early as possible.
