Ancelotti eyeing Liverpool’s defender as a surprise singing

Several media outlets have claimed that Real Madrid and Ancelotti are planning to sign Ibrahim Konate for their 23/24 season. They also have launched a behind-the-scenes operation to sign him.

Konate’s career at Liverpool had both ups and downs. Although he has excelled in the position whenever given a chance, the injuries have hampered his time with the reds. Konate has only played 33 games so far for Liverpool throughout all competitions.

Its been 18 months since he joined the reds. It’s a no-brainer of picking him as the pairing option for Virgil Van Dijk in the centre back duo. However, injuries have restrained him to play only 4 games for Liverpool this season.

Ancelotti prefers Konate?

For Ancelotti, these few games were enough for him to scout Konate and he is keen on bringing him to play for Real Madrid. Real lost their iconic center back duo of Ramos and Varane. There are operations going behind the scenes to improve the defensive unit of the team.

Seems like the Real Madrid pull would be enough to sign Konate and if that somehow fails, there is no scarcity of money for Madrid to spend.

Real needs defenders and money is surely not an issue for them. Madrid haven’t spent that much in the window, whereas their rivals Barcelona did the exact opposite, but it hasn’t paid the team yet.

This season, Madrid has money to spend thanks to their care and well-managed spending. They surely will go out to buy players and Konate might be the first signing they can make.

Apart from the Madrid pull, they also have a lot of French players which can be convincing enough for Konate to join them.
