German manager Jurgen Klopp does react to Darwin Nunez’s sending off from Liverpool’s side as justified. The German football coach is widely appreciated all around the world as one of the best coaches this decade. 23-year-old Uruguayan international born on 24th June 1999, is a striker for his new club Liverpool. The young Uruguayan forward impressed and caught everyone’s eye with his brilliant performance at his earlier club Benfica. With scoring 26 goals in his 28 games at Portuguese giants SL Benfica, the youngster did eventually catch the Red’s eyes. On 13 June 2022, the 23-year-old came to English Premier League from Benfica to the Merseyside giants Liverpool for €75 million. The youngster came to the Merseyside to provide more firepower to Liverpool’s attacking fronts.
But, the Reds fan were not expecting this start from the Uruguayan forward. Liverpool began their new campaign against Fulham that ended in a draw with the Nunez goal. But in the following match, the 23-year-old did receive his first Premier League red card for violent conduct in a 1–1 draw at home against Crystal Palace. Nunez shocked everyone with his violent play in his second match and first time in starting XI. Even the Reds boss has to step up in the youngster’s defense by justifying the consequences of his action. Klopp said, “There was provocation but it was definitely the wrong reaction, It was a clear red card. We cannot deny that. Unfortunately [he is out] for a few games now and that is not cool for us in our specific situation but that is how it is.”
