Arsenal future star Myles Lewis- Skelly is reportedly close to signing a new contract. Hence, the Gunners are looking to announce the deal officially in the coming weeks.





They are also looking to extend the contract of Ethan Nwaneri. This is because big clubs are also keeping an eye on their academy players.

ARSENAL CLOSE TO MYLES LEWIS SKELLY CONTRACT EXTENSION

According to reports, Arsenal are closing on the contract extension of Myles Lewis-Skelly. Hence, it looks like the he will continue his development with the academy. Many report have also described the 16-year old as the combination of Thomas Partey and Jack Wilshere. Hence, the Gunners are in no mood to lose one of their best players of the academy. Lewis-Skelly is reportedly close to signing a two-year contract.

Football Journalist Kaynak has also said Arsenal are very keen to retain their young stars. He further said,” Arsenal are very keen when it comes to these young players to manage them the right way. “It does appear they’re moving towards signing positive terms with Lewis-Skelly. “That would be a positive step, but they’re very keen to make sure they don’t skip any steps in their development and not throw them in the deep end too early. “But he’s a player Arsenal are very excited about, and rightly so, in my opinion.”

THE GUNNERS ALSO WANT TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT OF ETHAN NWANERI

According to reports, Arsenal also want to extend the contract of 15-year old highly rated youngster Ethan Nwaneri. Many also know him as they youngest footballer to make a Premier League debut. He made his debut in the win against Brentford. Hence, a number of sides would like to sign the midfielder on a scholarship in the next season.

Manchester City and Chelsea are also keeping a close eye on the youngster. Hence, Arsenal are doing their best to keep the youngster. At the moment, Chelsea lead the race, if he decides to leave the Gunners at the end of the season. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has said in multiple interviews that he would love to have more young group of team winning the Premier League.

Hence, it is clear that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to have their academy players in the first team. However, him and the club want to do it the right way. They do not want to rush the players into the first team to. It is because it might back fire and the players might feel overwhelmed.
