Chelsea’s form this season has not been good, they are presently 8th in the points table. They have recently lost to NewCastle, Arsenal, and Manchester City. They also have been some unexpected defeats like against Leeds United and Brentford.

Potter and his players are willing to get back to their form. The upcoming January transfer window is going to be critical for Potter. He would like to bring in some players who’ll add big value to their squad so that they finish in the top 4. He would also like to let go of some players like Aubameyang who are lacking and struggling this season.

Does Chelsea have the ability to finish top 4?

The former Barca boy cost Chelsea £10m and Marcos Alonso. Chelsea has to pay his wages and all he does is score 1 league goal.

Matty Lawless stated Aubameyang as a terrific signing in 2018 when the Gunners got him, now seeing his struggle Graham Potter will be looking to bring some quality players to improve his frontline.

Chelsea was linked with the Canadian forward Jonathan David in recent times. With the player interested in playing in the Premier League, Potter could go for this player.

This player will cost €50m to Chelsea. With the talent and potential, he has, he could turn into a blockbuster signing.

Since the beginning of last season, David has scored 28 goals across all competitions. He has made 3 assists as well. These things made him start matches for Canada in the World Cup. Although he did not score a single goal but made some serious efforts.

Other Premier League clubs like Aston Villa and Manchester United are also interested in signing the Canadian striker. Manchester United are in need of a striker because Ronaldo has left the club on mutual consent, and Martial has been injured for the most part of the season.

It will be interesting to see in which club Jonathan David will end up.
