Arthur Masuaku U-turn after major West Ham assertion in the report

Flamengo is not in touch

Arthur Masuaku’s loan with the Turkish team Besiktas may end soon, and he will likely return to West Ham United.

According to a report from Fotomac, Besiktas may breach the terms of Masuaku’s loan agreement. And return him to West Ham before the season is through.

This information contrasts sharply with Turkish media claims that surfaced last week. It said that the 29-year-old will almost surely leave the Hammers for Besiktas in the summer transfer window. It also added sign a permanent contract worth £2 million.

Masuaku transferred from Olympiacos to the Hammers in the summer of 2016 for about £6 million (Sky Sports).

But he had a terribly difficult six years at the London Stadium. He left in the summer of 2022 to sign a season-long loan with Besiktas. Yet, it appears as though the international for the Democratic Republic of the Congo may be scheduled for an early return to the London Stadium.

According to Fotomac, Besiktas may decide to send the 29-year-old back to the Hammers. They want to make room for Amadou Dante of Sturm Graz.

It’s reported that Besiktas has the option to purchase Masuaku for about £2 million (FotoMac). But it looks like they’ve changed their minds.

Arthur Masuaka’s future unpredictable

I don’t see Arthur Masuaku having any kind of future at the London Stadium, even if he does return to West Ham.

The Hammers have lost countless games due to the left-disorganized back’s attention span and appalling positional awareness over the years.

I think it’s best if we get rid of him as quickly as possible.

The only option, then, may be to buy him back rather than trade him during the summer transfer window to another team.

But whether the Hammers can persuade any football team in the world to purchase Masuaku is a totally different story.
