Arsenal to look for other options along with Declan Rice

About Football Express UK

Declan Rice remains Arsenal’s primary transfer target this summer. However, Arsenal identified a couple of alternative options in case they are unable to secure his signature.

There are advanced talks between Premier League champions Manchester City and West Ham United star Declan Rice. Talks are ongoing regarding a potential transfer to the Etihad Stadium. If City manages to secure his services, Arsenal may shift their attention back to Moises Caicedo. He currently plays for Brighton. However, Arsenal may explore other options such as Southampton’s Romeo Lavia as potential targets.

West Ham has turned down two bids from Arsenal for Declan Rice, the first at £80 million and the second at £90 million with additional add-ons. Despite personal terms, a deal still needs to undergo negotiation with West Ham. However, the rejected offers have potentially opened the door for Manchester City. There have been claims of an opening bid from City. However, the details of their involvement in the transfer negotiations are not present.

Which players will Arsenal like to sign this summer?

Arsenal is in a link with a potential move for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, with strong interest during the January transfer window. In fact, Brighton rejected a £75 million offer during that time. They now seek an even higher fee for the player. Currently, Chelsea appears to be the club making the most significant effort to secure the signing of the Ecuadorian midfielder.

Arsenal consider Romeo Lavia as an attractive option due to his younger age and more affordable price compared to other targets. Lavia is a player who would complement the existing options in the squad and is highly famous for his immense potential. Arteta is reportedly a significant admirer of Lavia and holds a high opinion of his abilities.

Romeo Lavia is a potential replacement for Thomas Partey at Arsenal. Partey has been drawing interest from clubs in Italy and Saudi Arabia, and it appears increasingly likely that he may depart the club. In this context, Lavia is seen as a candidate to fill the void that Partey’s potential departure would create in Arsenal’s midfield.

Kai Havertz has already completed his move from Chelsea to Arsenal, marking a transfer across London. Arsenal is also reportedly targeting Jurrien Timber from Ajax, indicating the potential addition of another player from the Dutch club.
