Joe Rahm was awestruck by the golfing skills of Gareth Bale

Bale

Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale left the 2021 US Open champion and World No. 3 golfer, Jon Rahm amazed. Meanwhile, Rahm was impressed by Gareth Bale’s golfing skills.

Moreover, the former Real Madrid footballer has demonstrated a great talent for the sport. Now he is showcasing his skills in golf after his retirement from professional football.

Rahm played alongside Bale in a pro-am event. However, the Spanish golfer was taken aback by the skills of the ex-Real Madrid legend.

In an interview with GOAL, the golfer said:

“I told Gareth, ‘you can’t be so good at professional football and golf at the same time, it just doesn’t seem fair’, Can’t be dedicated to one thing and have this much talent for golf, it’s not fair in the slightest.”

“He has no business being that good when he’s a professional football player. When he can actually practice more, he’s going to get a lot better. He got two strokes in the Pro-Am, which I think is already wrong. He should be giving strokes back to the rest of the amateurs because he is a very, very good player.”

The Welsh professional footballer is not only known for his impressive football skills but also for his love for golf. The Tottenham forward has been spotted on several occasions playing golf during his free time.

Moreover, Bale’s passion for golf has led him to become a regular player in pro-am tournaments. He has also been quoted saying that golf helps him to relax and clear his mind.

His golfing skills have also earned him recognition from some of the biggest names in golf, including Rory McIlroy. It’s clear that Bale is just as talented on the golf course as he is on the football pitch.

Previously, Gareth Bale had announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 33. Meanwhile, he has won three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and five Champions Leagues (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2022).
