English fullback Amass might sign a ‘four-year deal’ with Man United

According to rumours, Manchester United have agreed to sign Watford teenager Harry Amass to a four-year contract at Old Trafford. The 16-year-old has a solid reputation and has represented England at youth level. He was named on the Bench for the Hornets’ FA Cup third-round loss to Reading in January when he was still 15 years old.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the agreement for bringing Amass to United is ‘done,’ with the midfielder set to sign a four-year contract this week. The Red Devils will have to compensate Watford for the player’s scholarship terms with the Hornets. Watford provided Amass a two-year professional contract in an attempt to keep him at the club, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Under FA rules, he couldn’t sign the contract until he was 17 years old. He has already represented the club’s Under-18s and Under-21s teams.

Amass is expected to play for England in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Indonesia later this year. He earned his England Under-15s debut in December 2021 at the age of 14. Moreover He is presently a member of the national team’s Under-16 squad.

However The Hornets’ 16-year-old defensive wonder plays as a left-back and has amazed many who have seen him play. He has represented England at the U16 level. In addition there is enough talent in him to make the senior national squad one day. Similarly, he has showed enough maturity in his performances to make many believe he has the potential to become a top-tier Premier League star.
