Chelsea to sign Anthony Gordon, Danny Murphy advice to stay at Everton.

Danny Murphy wants the young Everton star Anthony Gordon to stay, inspite of the Chelsea’s deal. Formed in 1878, the English club from Merseyside is the founder member of the Football League. The Toffees has won 9 league titles, 5 FA Cups, 1 European Cup Winners’ Cup and 9 Charity Shields. Everton is the second-longest continuous serving club in English Premier League. But somewhere or the other, the club hasn’t able to match up their past records. Everton were at 16th position just 4 points above the relegation. Everton haven’t won any match in their opening three matches of the this season. Two straight defeats from Chelsea and Aston Villa and a draw from the new boys Nottingham Forest. Frank Lampard’s side Everton didn’t able to get the start, which they were expecting. And now, their young star is the prime target for the London side Chelsea.

Will Anthony Gordon follow Danny Murphy’s adivce to stay at Everton or leave for Chelsea?

On February 2021, Gordon was send to Championship side Preston North End on loan. And now, his gameplay has caught the eyes of the selectors all around the world. However, former English midfielder Danny Murphy, as spoken for the future of the young Englishman Anthony Gordon. He also told the 21-year-old that it would be better off staying at Goodison Park for his development, then at Stamford Bridge. Murphy said; “I think he’d be better staying and playing every week at Everton to learn. And I think Everton need to keep him, so long as they can find some money to sign a striker.”
