Chelsea reportedly interested in Palmeiras star midfielder

Endrick Felipe

London giants Chelsea are reportedly ‘in the race’ to sign Palmeiras midfielder Endrick to Stamford Bridge according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. After his appointment as the Blues boss in September, Graham Potter would be eager to secure his first transfers in Winter.

Endrick has a release clause of £52m in his contract. He has emerged as one of the more in-demand stars over recent weeks. PSG, Real Madrid, and Chelsea are the clubs mainly interested in the Brazillian’s signature. Although, PSG is the only one to have made an active proposition for the Brazillian midfielder.

Reportedly, Arsenal also has an interest in Endrick, in addition to his teammate Danilo. Endrick’s other suitors include Barcelona, Benfica, Ajax, Liverpool, and Manchester City. Chelsea is said to be leading the pursuit, however.

How will Endrick’s transfer to Chelsea go?

Endrick’s preference lies in a move to west London. However, Chelsea faces stiff competition from PSG and Real Madrid.

While the Blues look to secure Endrick’s transfer in 2024, Palmeires’ resolve may be tested by higher offers by Madrid and PSG. Regarding Endrick, Romano had this to say:

“The three clubs are fighting and Chelsea are in the race. They want to try and they want to discuss.

“Palmeiras want €60million. That is the value of the release clause, but they could accept a different kind of structure of the deal with the package, including add-ons and bonuses.

“Remember the player would be joining in 2024, so it’s a long-term project around Endrick and not a short-term project, but Chelsea are there.

“They have a chance to sign Endrick. As of today, yes, but it could change in a day because there are three clubs fighting for Endrick and there are also many rumours about Barcelona and Manchester United.”
