Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is to become available for selection once again at the beginning of the next month. The 24-year-old has yet to feature in any matches this season due to a hamstring injury. He sustained the injury during the pre-season period.

According to The Evening Standard, there were suggestions that Trevoh Chalobah, who is at £50 million. Thus, he might find himself marginalized at Chelsea after a potential transfer away from Stamford Bridge during the summer window. But that did not materialize.

Will Chelsea player Chalobah get a place in starting lineup?

Liam Twomey, a journalist for The Athletic, does not believe that Trevoh Chalobah’s place in the Chelsea squad is in jeopardy. In fact, he suggests that Chalobah could make a return from his injury in just a few weeks’ time. He said:

“Chelsea made it clear throughout the summer and on deadline day that they wanted to sell Chalobah, but there haven’t been any suggestions he’ll be frozen out until January.”

“He’s recovering well from a hamstring injury and hoping to be available again early next month.”

It would be ideal for Trevoh Chalobah to receive a fair opportunity to compete for a starting position at Chelsea once he has fully recovered from his injury.

It might have been beneficial for all parties if the talented academy graduate had secured a move during the summer. However, he remains at Chelsea and can provide valuable assistance either as a center-back or right-back.

Mauricio Pochettino’s squad may indeed be relatively large in terms of personnel, but it is significantly stronger and more robust compared to what his predecessors had to work with last year.
