Batshuayi could be kept in his Chelsea squad for next season

Chelsea boss has hinted during an interview that, their forgotten £33m man, Michy Batshuayi could stay at the club for next season. The Belgian forward featured in the later half of the 2-1 friendly win over Club America at the weekend for the Blues.

Batshuayi has been on a number of loan spells since arrived at the Stamford Bridge for a £33m transfer fee, with him spending time at Dortmund, Valencia, Besiktas and Crystal Palace.

Previous season, the 28-year-old forward got off to a great start in the Turkish league, outscoring a number of the Chelsea forwards in the process. He has scored league goals more than three of Chelsea forwards combined this season.

Batshuayi Situation

The Batman (Batshuayi) has been an excellent addition to Besiktas this season. After 19 Super Lig games, the 28-year-old has found the back of the net on nine occasions and six assists. Whereas, Tuchel’s attackers haven’t been up to the mark.

If we combine Lukaku, Werner and Kai Havertz’s league total this term, we get a total of eight, one less than what Batshuayi has netted on his own. The Batman, though infamously works alone, but the Blues would want him to show the South West London Avengers how it’s done in front of goal.

As Armando Broja looks for a new club to call home, an opportunity could be created by Batshuayi, who has regularly been great for the club in the very few minutes he has been offered. An opportunity to become a rotation player for the least is certainly there, with Chelsea hardly blessed for regular poachers at the club right now.
