The English giants Arsenal is not happy with Sparta Rotterdam’s treatment of Arsenal’s loan player Omar Rekik. Arsenal is one of the English dominating forces and the most powerful clubs in Premier League history. Gaining 13 league titles, 2 League Cups, 16 FA Community Shields as well as a record 14 FA Cups.
But somehow, Arsenal ended last season in frustration. Missing their ticket to UEFA Champions League to their London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs. Winning 22 of their 38 matches but losing 13 matches last season.
Arsenal is far from just being a strong club. But somehow the club has lost its touch the English trophies in recent seasons. Winning their last Premier League title in the 2003 – 2004 season.

One of the Oldest Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam, were 14th in the points table last season. Just 1 point above the Relegation join. 6 times Eredivisie Champion, have been far away from the Dutch silverware in many years. Their last Dutch trophy came in the 2015 – 2016 season, lifting up Eerste Divisie.
But a new tension is have taken place between Arsenal and Sparta Rotterdam regarding Omar Rekik.
Will Arsenal move ahead and cancel Omar Rekik’s loan trip to Sparta Rotterdam?
The 20-years-old Omar Rekik is an Arsenal player, playing as a centre-back for Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam on loan. He is the only player who has taken his youth training from various clubs. Training in Dutch, English, French as well as German clubs.
The youngster began his senior career from his former Youth club Hertha BSC II in the 2020 – 2021 season. Then arriving at another of his former youth club Arsenal in the 2021 – 2022 season. This season Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta send the centre-back Omar Rekik to Sparta Rotterdam on loan.
Rekik only made his appearance to the Dutch side for just 12 minutes so far this season. Making the Spanish manager Mikel Arteta unhappy with the Dutch side. As a result, Arteta would be thinking to bring in Omar Rekik back to the English side in the January transfer window.
The Netherlands-born player plays for the Tunisia national team on the international stage. Whereas his brother Karim Rekik plays a Dutch international.
The question still remains in the mind of Gunner fans all around the world, whether or not Mikel Arteta will bring in the centre-back to the squad in the January Transfer.
