Arsenal are planning to bring back their youth academy star to the first team.

Arsenal

Arsenal are planning to sign the Borussia Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen. The 24 year old Dutch forward is going to be the main target for the Gunners next season. Moreover, Arsenal are in dire need of a wide forward like Malen. They are having difficulty while dealing with thier forward line. Malen is the kind of players who can play on all three sides of the forward line. Arsenal are lacking depth in thier forward line and arrival of Malen could solve that problem to some extent. Furthermore, the Gunners are more likely to get the deal done as Malen was their youth product.

According to caughtoffside, Donyell Malen has 5 goals and 2 assists for Dortmund across all competitions this season so far. Because of his performance, Arsenal are looking to bring back their youth academy talent to their squad. Furthermore, the player would also want to be back home. He’d want to showcase the fans all that he’s learnt during his time away from the club. In addition to that, getting a chance to play in the premier league that too when your new club is in the title race, that’s something no player would want to miss.

Arsenal are planning to strengthen their team to stay ahead in the title race.

As we already know, the Gunners are the current premier league table toppers. Although reports say that Arsenal will sign Malen next season, there’s a high probability that he could arrive in the January transfer window. Even if the player does not comes in January, Arsenal would still be aiming to further strengthen their squad depth. They want to maintain their lead in the title race and would do anything possible in order to stay at the top. Arsenal lost the premier league title to Manchester City in the last moment in the previous season. They don’t want to commit that mistake again and hence they’re taking every possible step that’ll lead them to the premier league title.
