Sky Blues hoping to sign James Maddison this summer

With the exception of defender Joao Cancelo’s shocking departure, the Premier League winners were one of England’s less active teams as the month of January came to an end. The Daily Mail claims that as the club compiles a list of summer targets, City are also considering a 2023 transfer for James Maddison in addition to the Bundesliga midfielder.

Manager Pep Guardiola is intent on bringing the team a third consecutive league title. City, well-stocked in every part of the field looks to strengthen their squad.

However, rumors claim that the Sky Blues’ transfer coordinators are already planning for the summer, with links to players like Bellingham still circulating.

According to reports, the Eastlands team has “selected” Maddison as a target. Guardiola wants “more goals” from the players positioned behind star striker Erling Haaland.

With Maddison earning £110,000 a week and being referred to as a “super talent” by the media. Furthermore, the English player would appear to fit in seamlessly with Guardiola’s team.
