Noni Madueke Wants To Join Chelsea

Chelsea

Noni Madueke of PSV Eindhoven is said to be eager to join Chelsea. Madueke, 20, is a promising young winger who has made an impression with PSV in the Netherlands. PSV have reportedly rejected Chelsea’s opening bid earlier. But negotiations are going on between the two clubs. Noni Madueke has hinted that he may be interested in joining Chelsea during the January transfer window. Madueke grew up in London and attended the Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace academies before joining PSV in 2018.

Noni Madueke to Chelsea?

According to reports in the Netherlands, Graham Potter‘s side has offered €30 million (£26.6 million) for Madueke, but PSV believes the bid is far too low.

But Madueke is said to be happy when the news heats up the social media. He wants to come back to the Premier League and is extremely eager to join The blues.

Madueke, who left Tottenham in 2018 to join the Dutch club, has appeared nine times for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side this season, directly involved in two goals. PSV are adamant that they will not sell the England youth international this month, following the sale of Cody Gakpo to Liverpool.

However, it is reported that the Dutch club would sell the youngster for only around €45 million (£40 million). Chelsea are in talks with PSV about a potential deal that could see the club bring in a fifth player this month. The Blues are negotiating and will add an additional £8.8 million for the Eredivisie forward.

Since breaking into the first team in 2020, the England U21 international has 20 goals and 14 assists in 79 appearances for the Eredivisie side, pretty much exclusively on the right wing.

Madueke was instrumental in PSV’s 2-2 draw with Fortuna Sittard. He played a crucial role for his team to fourth place in the Eredivisie, level with Ajax in third and only four points behind table-toppers Feyenoord.

What’s on Madueke’s mind

It remains to be seen whether the Englishman will complete his move to west London in January, but based on his social media activity, he appears to be interested. There was an Instagram post by a Chelsea fan implying that management should bring Madueke to Stamford bridge.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger ‘liked’ the Chelsea fan’s Instagram post, implying that he agrees with the caption. Of course, it should be noted that Madueke could have simply ‘liked’ the image without reading the caption below.
