If Graham Potter is fired, Chelsea might bid for the 48-year-old manager

Chelsea

If Chelsea decides to get rid of Graham Potter, it has been suggested that they would pursue Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner. The Stamford Bridge hierarchy may choose to replace their present coach with the Bundesliga manager, according to BILD. Despite the fact that Potter appears to have the support of those working upstairs, his employment is still in jeopardy because of a poor run of form.

They have lost six straight games across all competitions prior to their Thursday defeat at Fulham. Chelsea have only two Premier League victories since the middle of October. They have dropped to the bottom of the standings.

If Graham Potter fails to regain some sort of league standing, he may already be on his way out by the summer. If everything goes wrong for the Englishman, Boehly and his staff might already have a list of potential candidates ready to contact. Such an inventory exists, as evidenced by how quickly they replaced Thomas Tuchel with the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager.

Glasner is one among the people who might receive the call from the Cobham hierarchy. He is a perfect replacement for Graham Potter.

According to BILD, Chelsea inquired about the 48-year-old last season and may do so once more. But, Frankfurt’s mayor has no plans to leave his position. His team has a domestic round of 16 cup matches on the horizon and is seriously competing for a top-four finish in Germany.

Furthermore, Glasner will be anticipating the Champions League quarterfinal matchup with Napoli coming up in a month.

Why would he want to exchange all of this for the stress that Graham Potter is currently experiencing?
