Marcus Thuram is available to sign up this summer

Marcus Thuram

Romano has already provided the Blues with information about Marcus Thuram, declaring in June that joining the Premier League is his “goal,” despite interest from both Graham Potter’s team and Manchester United.

The player’s manager Daniel Farke has said the player “feels right at home” in Germany. But, Thuram’s contract with Monchengladbach will expire at the end of the current campaign. Farke has yet to extend the player’s contract, and a move abroad is still very much a possibility.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT about the potential transfer, Romano said:

“Also in this case it depends on the conditions of the deal.

“Thuram is available as a free agent in the summer because he’s 100% not going to extend the contract with Gladbach.

“So, many clubs are approaching him from Italy, like Inter to sign him as a free agent in the summer.

Marcus Thuram To Chelsea?!

The Parma-born forward, described as “world class” by Wolfsburg sports director Marcel Schafer, is a good option for Potter since he can be used in a variety of different systems. He is versatile enough to play throughout the front three.

Given his performance in front of goal this season—13 goals in 17 games, four assists, and an average goal contribution of one per game. It is understandable why there is so much interest in the Frenchman.

Thuram has played as a center-forward in each of his 17 appearances this season. That may be a sign that he has discovered his best position. At only 25, he would make a great long-term replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
