Michail Antonio Claims against Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool ‘Ridiculous’

Klopp

Given Liverpool’s subpar results this year, Michail Antonio has called it “ridiculous” that Jurgen Klopp’s future at Liverpool is in doubt.

Furthermore, the West Ham United striker responded that it is “ludicrous” to question Klopp’s future given everything he has accomplished for the club.

The Reds were on track to go nearly three decades without winning the Premier League title when Klopp arrived. Everything changed after he took over.

He not only helped the Merseyside giants win the Premier League, but he also helped them win the Champions League in Madrid and several more domestic championships. He is or will be a huge asset for this Liverpool team after their poor season.

When Klopp retires, he will be remembered as a club legend at Anfield, and in all honesty, he ought to have the power to decide his own destiny.

But Michail Antonio, speaking on The Footballer’s Football Podcast, had this to say about Klopp and those doubting the Liverpool coach.

“Wow,”

said Antonio.

“That is ridiculous. You can’t. That’s ludicrous. Getting rid of him would just be stupidity. He won the Premier League with Liverpool.”

“At the end of the day, so many managers have been there and they haven’t done it.”

Relief for Liverpool after their win against Wolverhampton

Few sides have had it harder since domestic play resumed following the World Cup than Liverpool, who have put on a lot of awful performances.

But on Tuesday night, they relieved some of those demands by securing a spot in the FA Cup’s next round.

Both a much-needed clean sheet and a 1-0 victory over Wolves were recorded, and both would be extremely beneficial for the entire team and the defensive backline.
