About Football Express UK

The Eredivisie champion Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder is angry about the Antony transfer to Manchester United. The Dutch giants who played in the Eredivisie or the Dutch League had led their foundation in 1900. They are the most successful club in the Netherlands, winning 36 Eredivisie titles and 20 KNVB Cups. But, currently, the Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder burst out over Antony’s transfer to the English giant’s Manchester United.

Meanwhile, the English club from Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, had led their foundation in 1878. Red Devils have recorded 20 League titles, 12 FA Cups, 5 League Cups, as well as a record 21 FA Community Shields in their trophy room. This makes them one of the most successful clubs in the whole of England. Moreover, they have also dominated in the European competition by winning almost all trophies. But, it seems that the Red Devils have lost touch with the Premier League after the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United under the new manager Erik ten Hag is hoping for a better result. As the Red Devils were out of the UCL last season. As a result, the Dutch manager is rethinking all the options available to strengthen his squad. And, now Manchester United have bought the Brazilian from Ajax. Which made the Ajax boss lose his temper.

Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder loses his calm over Antony’s transfer to Manchester United.

The Dutch manager Alfred Schreuder expresses his anger over the transfer of Antony from Ajax to Manchester United. The 22-years-old Brazilian international plays as a winger for the Premier League side Manchester United. He is the product of the São Paulo youth club. But, soon he made his debut for its senior side on 2018. The 22-years-old then joined the Dutch giant’s Ajax on February 2020 for a five-year deal. Furthermore, he became the biggest signing of this year by moving to Manchester United on the deadline day of the Summer transfer window. Ajax sporting director Gerry Hamstra said;

“I understand Schreuder’s anger, very much so. I have been a manager myself, I know how annoying it is when your best player leaves at the very last minute. We did not want this, we wanted to keep Antony.”

Also, Alfred Schreuder broke his silence by saying;

“I thought: you’re just a f****** player. You have to train and play as every player should while under contract. I told him he would not be leaving. I thought it was weird behaviour. It’s a shame it happened. Personally, I just think it’s bad. I’m angry about it, too. This sort of thing, so late in the window, frustrates you as a manager.”
