The English champions allegedly spoke with Midtjylland about Ousmane Diomande on Monday and Tuesday “many times this week”. The Pep Guardiola team has not yet made an offer for him, though.
Sports are included as well. They made a €5 million offer last week and increased it by over €3 million on Monday. This is because they want to hire Diomande and because Manchester City has gotten in touch with Midtjylland.
The argument, according to BT, is shifting more and more in favor of Sporting buying the player. Despite interest from Guardiola‘s camp and others. The Lions and the Danish club have had fruitful discussions, and the two parties might settle on a transaction for about €10 million.
Ousmane Diomande is on a one-season loan in the Segunda Liga of Portugal. He has performed well enough there to catch the interest of much bigger clubs.
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester City has contacted his parent club, Midtjylland, where he has a contract through 2026.

Ousmane Diomande being targeted by Premier League Giants
The defender also said to be a target for Arsenal and Sporting, with Portuguese journalist Bruno Andrade claiming that Sporting has made a bid for Ousmane Diomande.
The Portuguese behemoths are prepared to make an offer of €7 million (£6.2 million) plus €1.5 million (£1.3 million) in add-ons, but Midtjylland is holding out for €10 million for the teenager who has never participated in a competitive game for them.
The teenager, who has only played first-team football for Mafra in the Portuguese second division and domestic cup tournaments, would see a meteoric ascent with a transfer to the Premier League.
For Mafra this season, the center-back has made 13 league appearances along with four more in cup tournaments.
