Manchester United looking to spend big

About Football Express UK

It is reported that Manchester United have agreed to terms with Lisandro Martinez and Antony. Reports say the Ajax duo are keen to play under their previous coach ten Hag for the 20-time English Champions.

News says that the Dutch Champions are stalling and asking for a price of 125-130 million euros for their players.

The Red Devils are taking their new signing, Malacia with them to start their pre-season campaign today. Martinez, de Jong, and Antony continue to be strongly linked to a move to Old Trafford. This is starting to look frustrating for Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United looking to improve on all fronts

Last season, United were very poor with their attacking. Apart from Ronaldo being their only serious threat up front, there seemed to be a lack of any intent to score goals. Hence, the front line needs a serious boost with the likes of Antony. Also, they had their issues with the backline and are hoping that Martinez can be the answer to at least some of them.

The Manchester United boss still remains confident that he can get the star duo from his previous club to Old Trafford. It still remains a doubt whether getting good players and spending money on the transfer window would be all or not. United have spent heavy amounts of money on most transfer windows without barely any return on their investment. United would have to solve their internal issues in their management at least if they’re in hopes of finding any glory for the club.

Red Devils have been in search of glory since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United have appointed coaches with a big reputation, namely Van Gaal, and Mourinho. Also, they’ve tried signing big players to their team, like Falcao, Depay, Di Maria, Pogba, and the list goes on. Somehow, instead of having a plethora of match-winners in their team, they’ve managed not to win any major trophies. The fans are even clueless about what is it their team is doing wrong.

This year, due to the lack of European football, attracting players has even gotten tougher for the Red Devils.
