According to L’Équipe journalist Loic Tanzi Wolverhampton Wanderers have accepted the Manchester city’s offer for Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes.
Tanzi also reports that the Premier League side have already started looking for a replacement midfielder.
With the player already wanting to join the club, the move edges closer to being completed.
Last week the deal was dead, according to the English media Manchester city were ready to walk away from the deal after they offered €55m bid.
Wolves already turned down the offer and were expecting to keep the 25 years old midfielder.
But Nunes himself refused to train with Gary O’Neil’s squad in an effort to push for the move to the Premier League champions.
WHAT CAN HE PROVIDE TO CITY’S SQUAD
Nunes is a physical player who likes to tackle, he can help Rodri by playing in a double pivot role replacing John stones.
He is also good at ball controlling and does not lose possession easily, has a great pace and can also dribble the ball easily. He can also provide assists and can score some goals.
All the quality’s make him a great choice for city and if he sign for Manchester city we can hope that he can hit his potential to extreme limits.
Nunes has made 36 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The midfielder has scored one goal and given one assist in those games.
WHY CHOOSE MATHEUS NUNES ?
After losing Kevin De Bruyne to injury they wanted a backup and kept an eye on Lucas Paqueta as the first choise, but West Ham only want to sell him at the price above 100m euros.
Then they shift their interest to Matheus Nunes.
They wants to buy Matheus Nunes at a cheap price.
They does not want to spend €100m for a midfielder.
