Liverpool right-back Neco Williams does not turn for club’s pre-season training amid rumours of him making an exit from the club.
Having spent the second half of the season on loan at Fulham, the defender is set to leave the club this summer. Williams has understood that he may not get much game time under Klopp and an exit would be wise.
The defender has not joined the training sessions ahead of the next season hinting upon a possible exit this summer. Moreover, clubs across the Premier League are ready to make a swoop for the services of the defender.
Liverpool to let go off Williams
Manager Jurgen Klopp has not really used the defender much in his squad and used him more as second fiddle. Moreover, having sent him on loan to the Craven Cottage club, shows that Williams doesn’t fit in Klopp’s plans.
A move away from the club this summer appears to be on the horizon for the 21-year-old. The player has come to terms regarding the exit and that he will not make the cut in Klopp’s side.
Fulham are looking to retain his services after the right-back instilled trust in his manager during his loan spell. However, Fulham are not the only club in the mix to sign the defender this summer.
Nottingham Forest has been pushing for a move for Williams this summer ahead of the next season. Liverpool are set to have word with the clubs in the race to sign the right-back.
The Reds have rated the defender to be around £15 million if a sale is to happen by either of the clubs. Liverpool will look to secure a fee for Williams and are not willing to let go of him for free.
